Moveit

Systems migration done for you

Full data migration for when you need to change tech platforms or software packages

Switching systems is rarely just a click of a button. Whether it’s moving your finances from spreadsheets into accounting software, shifting from Dropbox to Google Drive, or migrating your whole CRM, the tricky part is usually the data.

That’s where Moveit comes in.

I’ll handle the migration of your tech and processes so that you don’t lose track of your data, your integrations, or your sanity along the way.

What makes migrations different?

Unlike a fresh build, a migration usually involves:

  • Existing data that needs to be cleaned, mapped, and imported into the new system (sometimes thousands of records)

  • Legacy integrations that have to be recreated or replaced so nothing breaks

  • Change management — helping your team adjust smoothly so the new system works from day one

That’s why migrations can be time-consuming and high-stakes. Doing it properly avoids painful downtime, data loss, or compliance risks.

How it works

Number 1

Scoping call

We’ll start with a call to get clear on the systems you're moving from and to, and any issues with your current platform that you wish to eliminate in the move. We get clear on what needs to move across. This is where we talk through your goals, priorities, and any concerns so that we are on the same page about what has to happen.

Number 2

Audit of your current setup

Before shifting anything, I’ll review your existing system to spot potential issues. This includes checking for duplicate records, inconsistent data, or risks that could cause problems in the new platform. Catching these early makes the migration smoother and safer.

Number 3

Setting up the new system

I’ll prepare the new platform so it’s ready to receive your data. In a finance system, this could mean setting up the correct accounts and categories; in a CRM, it might involve creating the right tables, fields, views, and forms. This step ensures the new system matches your processes and data structure.

Number 4

Data export, cleaning, and import

Once the new system is ready, I’ll take care of getting your data out of the old one, tidying it up (removing errors, aligning formats, mapping fields), and then importing it into the new platform. This ensures your information is accurate, consistent, and ready for action from day one.

Number 5

Re-establishing integrations and automations

If your old setup had links to other tools (like email marketing, scheduling, or accounting), I’ll test and rebuild these connections in the new environment. Where a direct integration isn’t possible, I’ll recommend alternatives so you don’t lose functionality (this is somthing we'll have agreed in the scoping call).

Number 6

Handover and training

Once everything is in place, we’ll wrap up with a handover call where I show you how the new system works and answer any questions. You’ll also get short screen-share videos walking you through the key steps — so you and your team can refer back to them anytime.

FAQ

How much will it cost?Migrations vary in complexity so there is no one fixed price. A straightforward migration (e.g. Dropbox to Google Drive) may start from around £245. Complex CRM or finance migrations are quoted individually, once I’ve understood the size and state of your data.

How is Moveit different from Buildit?Buildit is for creating something new from scratch — like a website, funnel, or new CRM system. Moveit is for switching platforms, where we need to bring over your existing data, records, and sometimes integrations.

Will you tidy up my data?Yes - data cleansing and mapping is part of the migration. I won’t just dump raw data from one system into another.

Can you rebuild integrations too?Yes. Where possible I’ll recreate your current integrations, or advise on alternatives if the new system works differently.

Do I need to stop using my system while the migration is happening? Not usually. I’ll plan the work so you have as little downtime as possible, and we’ll agree the cut-over date together.

Will you need my passwords?Yes. Because I’ll be working in the back end of your systems, I’ll need access details. We’ll agree the safest way to share them — often that’s using a password manager or creating a temporary login. I’ll only use the access for the agreed work.

What about GDPR compliance? Before I start work, you’ll get a written contract that sets out how I’ll handle your data in line with UK GDPR. This includes data protection, confidentiality, and how access will be managed.
