Audit

How well are your systems serving your business?

A full review of your tech and processes, with clear recommendations for what to improve next

Why have an Audit?

Sometimes your systems don’t feel like they’re working for you. Maybe things are clunky, hard to use, or costing too much. Or perhaps you’re not sure whether you’ve got the right tools in place at all.

That’s where an Audit comes in.

I’ll take a clear-eyed look at your tech and processes — not from a marketing or coaching angle, but from the systems and compliance end.

My focus is on what you want to achieve, and whether your current tools and processes are set up for success. If not, I'll tell you what needs to change.

Questions that an Audit can answer

  • Are your systems set up to deliver what you want to achieve?
  • Are they properly integrated, or are you doing too much by hand?
  • What’s left out of your processes, what’s redundant, and what’s risky?
  • Are you GDPR-compliant in how you’re handling data?
  • Could you automate your processes? Make better use of AI?
  • Are you missing opportunities to gather leads, measure key metrics, or receive feedback from clients?

I'll provide a practical, no-jargon report, which we'll review together so you understand what’s working, what’s not, and the best next steps for you to take.

Collaborative Process

We’ll start with a discovery call so I can understand your goals and how things are meant to work.

I’ll also need access to your systems, so I can look behind the scenes at how everything is set up in practice.

From there, I’ll map what you have against what you need — spotting gaps, risks, and opportunities.

Scope and Function

Every audit is tailored, but the scope can be as focused or as broad as you need.

Sometimes we’ll look at a single function like lead capture or finance; sometimes a particular process, such as how you nurture new enquiries; and sometimes the entire tech stack.

I’ll be assessing whether your systems actually support your goals, how well your tools are configured and connected, whether there are compliance or deliverability risks, and where there are opportunities to simplify or strengthen what you’re doing.

Outcome

You’ll get a written report that brings it all together, plus a wrap-up call to go through the findings and answer any questions.

If you go on to a Buildit project afterwards, you’ll already have the benefit of me knowing your setup inside out — which means a smoother process and a discount on that work.

As a small business owner it is always difficult to find someone you feel comfortable handing over parts of your business to for help both from a financial point of view and trust.  What can I say,  Lucy is an incredibly safe pair of hands.  She is transparent in what she can and cannot do - and there isn't much she can't do - and incredibly efficient and proficient.  A more professional and friendly tech whiz you would be hard pushed to find.

Thank you Lucy for all of the work you have done.  If you are hesitating to take that first step to employ her services, don't, do make the step forward. You will be so pleased with the results.

FAQ

How much does an Audit cost?A basic audit of one function starts at £245. Broader audits, such as a full review of your tech stack, are priced according to scope — I’ll confirm the cost once we’ve agreed what’s in.

How is this different from a Fixit?A Fixit is about solving a single problem quickly. An Audit is broader: it looks across a whole function, process, or system to see what’s really going on and what needs to change.

Will you need my passwords?Yes. Because I’ll be working in the back end of your systems, I’ll need access details. We’ll agree the safest way to share them — often that’s using a password manager or creating a temporary login. I’ll only use the access for the agreed work.

What about GDPR compliance? Before I start work, you’ll get a written contract that sets out how I’ll handle your data in line with UK GDPR. This includes data protection, confidentiality, and how access will be managed.

Is this business coaching or marketing advice? No. I don’t tell you what to sell or how to price it. I focus on whether your tech and systems are supporting your business goals. We can explore this in a Clarity Call before we start work on the Audit. However it's important to note that my specialism is in getting your systems working, rather than giving you specific marketing or business advice.

What if I just want help with one tool?If you've got a specific problem with one platform that’s usually a Fixit. But if the issue seems tangled with other systems, and you're interested in exploring your options then an Audit may be a better choice — we can decide together. If you think you've a Fixit query then please do book a free Clarity Call and I can explore this with you.

Will you fix things during the Audit? No, the Audit is about assessment and recommendations. If you’d like me to implement changes, that would be a separate Fixit or Buildit project.

Do I get a discount if I go ahead with a Buildit afterwards?Yes. Because I’ll already have mapped out your systems, you’ll pay less for any Buildit work we do off the back of an Audit.
